Opening of the renovated galleries of Decorative Arts 18th century and America

On the occasion of the opening of the renovated galleries of Decorative Arts 18th century and America, the Museum will provide free access for all on Saturday, Oct. 12. The afternoon (from 2 to 5 p.m.) will be filled with music, performances and workshops for families.

In the afternoon, the trio Le Doux Rossignol will play chamber music by 18th-century composers from the old Southern Netherlands and France, and Trio Seibo will perform South American music from Chile, Argentina, Peru and Bolivia.

Children and their parents will be able to join some walk-in workshops. On the program: the creation of an 18th-century pop-up interior and the decoration  of a llama, the most popular animal living in the Andes. Curators of the various collections will also be present to provide explanations to visitors.

In addition, the Embassy of Mexico will display an altar as part of El Dia de los Muertos and will provide a painting workshop for children by Ana Quiroz. SPA will be offering water and soft drinks, CHARLES LIÉGEOIS Roastery will let you enjoy its coffee.
