Art & History Museum

As from 12.10.2024, the Museum opens its new galleries devoted to the decorative arts in the 18th century and America.

In twelve galleries, the Museum has made new choices in terms of content and display. The works have been rearranged, some were removed, others withdrawn from storage and some were added thanks to recent loans or donations.

Visitors are now having an up-to-date picture of life in 18th-century Europe and the ancient cultural expressions of the indigenous peoples of Central and South America.

Embark on a fascinating journey through art and history! Come and stroll among the prehistoric flints and Egyptian mummies, walk between the ancient glasses and stand back to contemplate the impressive medieval tapestries. Immerse yourself in the oriental world as you pass Asian Buddhas and travel to the other side of the world to see pre-Columbian statuettes.
