Sanggam
The collection of Korean Art is one of the smaller collections and consists chiefly of ceramics. The collection of Korean ceramics include the period of the Three Kingdoms (-1st cent. to the 7th cent.); the period of Unified Silla (668-935); the Koryo Dynasty (918-1392) and the Choson Dynasty (1392-1910). The highly desirable Sanggam stoneware (celadon with inlay work of white and black clay) from the Koryo Dynasty is only one example of the particular identity of Korean art, set between the Chinese and Japanese traditions.
